About

About 10 years ago, I thought to myself, "There is no one selling  Iñupiaq doughnuts to the summer visitors (tourists) and locals".  From that point, I recalled my Mom's affection for baking & wonderful childhood memories of visiting Aaka's & Atata's place. You can guess why I called my business, "Aaka's Place".  Small starts are an inspiration for larger startups!  Indigenously inspired doughnuts and eats!
